If you have a big library of medias and want a nice way to display them instead of viewing them in a simple file manager, kodi might be what you are looking for.
What this software does is looking through a specified media folder and searches every file name on a database (such as tmdb for movies) and creates a nice library. Although, you will have to keep them relatively well organized and named with specific rules : “name of the media (year)”. You can read the kodi wiki for more details.
